Want to start a petition to get rid of her! I am so sick and tired of seeing her on television, pop-ups on my computer

Seems to me she represents Progressive Insurance. She IS everywhere but I can think of a lot more commercials that I would deep six first.

I think they WANT you to be annoyed so you talk about her or whatever insurance she peddles.

:pray:Does your TV or Computer have you hog tied and forces you to watch her? If so, change, change, change the channel!!!!

would you perfer GEICO with that awful gecko or caveman?

I actually love the Allstate commercials, that dude is just too funny.....who writes tht stuff.......When he was the navigation system, I couldn't stop laughing. He makes listening to the dumb insurance worth it.

youtube....funny all state commercials...I couldn't get the URL to transfer on this site for some reason..

i say BRING him back......I want more.....

She annoys me, as she reminds me of a former co-worker who annoyed me. However, as a former insurance marketing executive I can tell you that she (the ad campaign) has been wildly successful. Any campaign that lasts more than a year is successful at conveying the message or it would be scrapped- Flo has been the Progressive spokesperson/symbol for what...8 years or so? Companies spend a lot of energy, manpower, and money to create brand awareness and I would suggest Progressive's brand awareness has increased ten fold or more with the Flo campaign. As long as she is increasing brand awareness and product recognition, and sales are rising she will continue to annoy us and laugh all the way to the bank. On a similar note, Sonic tried to replace the two guys who banter in the car a few years ago because their salary demands were deemed too high. Three or four other combos were tried and the campaign began losing steam. Soon the original pair were back, and have continued as the faces of Sonic for the last four or five years. Virtually every company would love to stumble on a face of the franchise like Flo, the Sonic guys, or Subway's Jared.

Companies stay with advertising that WORKS and is SUCCESSFUL. If Flo didn't work she'd be gone, gone, gone! She works..and Progressive is staying with what works. The marvelous thing about both televisions and radios is that they come equipped with two dials. One turns them on and off and the other changes channels. Give 'em a try sometime.

Flo flows and that's why she is still going strong after 8 years. As some of you may recall she played a telephone operator on the first season of Mad Men

The commercials that annoy me are the ones making "the father or mother"an idiot and his kids so much more informed. its disrespectful and harmful

Wasn't there also consumer backlash when Wendy the Snapple lady was replaced?

As far as Flo goes, the ads are lighthearted and bordering-on-semi-funny so what I see of them through all my fast-forwarding doesn't bother me. There are Halloween costumes/wigs (http://www.halloweencostumes.com/insurance-lady-costume.html) for Flo and her trademark hairdo, which must mean something in terms of popularity, ironic or not. It would make me laugh if someone wore the costume to an office party.
