We are considering buying a new home and we don't particularly care for the white appliances. I know that TV won' swap them out for us, but are there any other options? Any other way to swap or upgrade to stainless steel? We won't be living there full time yet so we are not sure how or if we can do this.

The appliances in the new construction vary from one to another. If the stainless is one of your "must haves" you may be able to find the perfect house without something else, that may have the stainless steel. We settled 2/14 and as I recall, the VLS lists the color of the appliances. If not, your sales person can tell you which houses in your price range have the stainless steel. Our sales person told us if the appliances were not in place with new construction, we could request stainless, but would not make any promises.

I've seen posted on this site brand new appliances for sale. It would appear they wanted to switch them out. Probably not a cost efficient solution.

We bought new last summer. We also wanted stainless steel appliances. We were given the name of the appliance installer and called them directly. We paid a labor fee to have the appliances switched out but we did get what we wanted.

Who installed the appliances? We swapped ours out for stainless (additional charge), with Bailey's. You can't have used them at all though.

Thanks Anne. Do you mind giving me their name and phone number either here or by email? We're you satisfied with everything?

I actually have the same question about City Furniture. There are some pieces in the house we'd like to swap out. Our TV sales rep does not think they will swap out pieces. Any thoughts.

Hi! We're you happy with " Bailey's " and do you have their contact information? Thanks
