Wow, is it windy. Last night's news said there was no tornado worry for today. Guess he was mistaken. Let's hope nothing touches down.

It sure is windy. I've been all over the villages today looking for a CYV for sale. Throughout all the villages from 441/27 down to 446 and from the 101 to the west and Morse on the east and I thought my little car was going to blow away. Also went south of 466 from east of Odell to west of Buena Vista. I think it was worse down there. A couple of times it looked like tornado weather, but what do I know, unless the ground shakes, I have no clue...
Nice day but strange weather, let's hope it doesn't get worse.

As someone who has lived in tornado country a long time - it isn't windy days to worry about. When it gets very still look out.

Unlike Nonie, I will stick to topic ---
Now its pouring like cats and dogs (oops, excuse expression). It is truly scary but I guess as long as the ground doesn't shake, we should be okay, I think???
To respond to Nonie, dahling, are your inferring that I have a jelly belly??? It all depends on the house hunting status. What time is the belling rolling contest??
.. Love ya anyway, Kath

OMG, RD, I know you were trying to comfort us, but I'm not. Especially cause the tornado alarm just went off here in the house. I'm still scared.
Eddie, you are the funniest person.... I was just on Canal and saw many things blowing by me, but no blue jeans.. What size, just in case.??

Excuse the hijack! Ill put out a post!

With kind of a yellowish tint in the air and a definite ozone smell. Then it's lock the babies in the root cellar time.

Eddie: Just saw your carpenter pants flying by my street. Those are some dang strong winds you have down there in Florida. I'll bring them to TV when I come mid April. LOL
I was in Arkadelphia, AR once visiting a bf. Hid in the closet of the apt. when the sirens went off, sky turned green/black, and everything became STILL. Very weird feeling. Will never forget it. Are there any other places in TV to hunker down during a "warning", like the rec centers, etc.?? Or is there usually not enough time to get there? Cheers

That's pretty windy! We were in Orlando yesterday when the sky turned very, very dark, the wind blew up, then thunderstorms and torrential rains that you couldn't see through followed. Definitely intimidating, especially hearing the 'tornado watch' for our counties here around TV....

Speaking of Tornado's, Village Kahuna got a weather alert radio, an excellent idea
[center]Wouldn't the walk in closet in a patio villa make a good place to "hunker" down with some sofa cushions over your body and bed pillows to rest on? I'm thinkin no outside walls and under the highest part ofthe roof?[center]
[center]If you can't find me look for there ok??[center]

VK - If you look at the pics from 2/2/07 you'll see that most outside walls were fine. It looks like a lot of roofs caved in the middle - thus i don't think under the hightest point is good. It looks like a lot of bathrooms off or near the master survived the best.
