An over-the-air antenna is like in the good old days when you got TV for free with an antenna on your roof. Tom at TheVillagesAV.com (352.388.1677) installs a pretty high tech antenna in your attic and you can pull in about 50 stations from Orlando. We were primarily interested in the ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox affiliates. Those channels, and others, are broadcast in uncompressed HD for a perfect picture. We use the over-the-air antenna and a Roku box (streaming Netflix and Hulu+) for TV instead of cable or satellite. Tom did and excellent job and I thought his price was quite reasonable.

Do you mind divulging his price? Did he provide the antenna in that?

Thank you

I believe Tom installed the following antenna:

https://www.antennasdirect.com/store/DB4e-extended-long-range-outdoor-dtv-antenna.html

He also installed an amplifier since the signal was being split 4-ways. If you had more than 4 TVs, he would use a different amplifier than he used with my home.

Tom's price is an all-inclusive price: antenna, amplifier, and hooks into your coax cable from the low-voltage panel in your garage. I don't like giving out other peoples prices but let me say that I thought he was very reasonable, particularly since I suspect he can get the parts cheaper than you and I can since he buys more than a single antenna and amplifier. Tom is excellent and lives and breathes this stuff. As much as I like to do stuff myself, having Tom do it was a no-brainer.

Would like to express my thanks to all the folks who sent in references recommending Village AV for installing flat screen wall TV's. All the references were very good ones so I didn't even hesitate for a second to immediately call them for their service. I can't say enough about how pleased I was with the way Tom at The VillagesAV.com was on time, very knowledgeable, spotless, friendly, (the whole package) in installing, July 26, my 55" wall television exactly the way I wanted it. Not to mention the very good price. Thanks for TOTV for making this all available to us, and thanks to all of you for making this experience one that was satisfying and comfortable. Such a commitment to great customer service is to be commended to all involved. Thanks again.
