Where are good places for good haircuts. I have very coarse hair and need a good "cutter" and hubby likes a barber. Thanks

After trying a few different shops, I settled on Cals Barber Shop. They take reservations and it's a very enjoyable shop with male and female barbers.
I use "Salty" who unlike most barbers down here, includes a neck and above the ears shave.
I don't know how they do with woman haircuts but there always seems to be plenty of woman going there.
They are next to Bravo Pizza by Lake Sumpter Landing. Phone # is 352-259-9100

I also go to Cal's in downtown Sumter,Todd usually cuts my hair, convenient calling ahead and walking in and minutes later out of there..........Todd also shaves the neck & ears, not many still do that.....

Think I have had "Salty" at Cals in Lake Sumter Landing a few times too. He does a very good job. :agree:

I go to a place on the "Historic" side. They are great people the barbers but one or two have not so steady hands and the gouges in my hair prove it. But I don't care too much as the difference between a bad haircut and a good hair cut is two weeks. They don't shave the neck or ears that's why I can still turn my head and still hear most of what you say. I'll give S.L. Cal's a try.

Do any barbers in TV know how to give a "Princeton" cut? I have been to two places so far and haven't had any luck finding one.
What is the difference between a barber and a beautician in TV? In Michigan, a barber had a different license, and had to attend a barber collage.

Finding new contacts for services is not easy, but this is a great way to share in a larger circle.
I have found "Urban Hair Studio" Samanta & Victoria are really caring and do a wonderful job no matter what your hair is like. They are reasonably priced (which is hard to find) men & womens cuts 352-748-0040

My husband also has "Salty" cut his hair. Sure a better look than some shops he's been to since moving to TV.
