Best Family Pools to take the Grandkids

Hi. I was wondering what the best family pools are in TV? I live in the North section but was not happy with the pool we went to last summer. Any ideas? Thanks!:confused:

Pretty much all the same if you are wanting family pools. We take our grand babies to Chatham. It's sad in a way because there are so many rules that the kids just basically float.....

But...they are floating in a retirement community where most of the inhabitants are older.

P.S. Our two grandchildren, One, the Television Producer and the other, the college senior, are a tiny bit annoyed they can't go to the grown up pool. lol. This grandmother LOVES to brag.

I get that, but they are Family pools which I would understand to mean children. My goodness they can't even have waterballs or diving sticks! I get the no jumping off the sides, they may splash people. (tongue in cheek)

Paradise has a big family pool. Other nice ones north of 466 are Rio Grande and Santiago.

I know it's far from you, I live in Hemingway, but my kids go to Odell or Truman. Truman is a little quieter in high season

My son's Mother-in-Law lives in a very nice retirement community in South Florida and visiting family (adults & children) cannot use the pools until after 5:00pm. So I think what we have here is very accommodating to guests!

We went to Big Cypress and our grand kids had a great time using noodles and buckets. They didn't seem to mind they couldn't throw objects. Every day they had kids to play with and the adults had a wonderful time chatting. This was our first experience at any of the pools and it was quite positive.

I think family pools means families having FUN! If residents feel that they are too loud and the kids are having fun, go to the resident only pools How great is it having our grandchildren come down here for a week (really only a week!)

I love to see all of the grandparents riding with their grandkids and just enjoying every moment of it.

I think "family pools" should be just a little more lenient and let KIDS BE KIDS to a certain degree so as not to upset others.

Keep in mind that the family pools aren't just for kids. They are the only choice for anyone under 30. Guests can go to the neighborhood pools, but they have to be at least 30 years old. So if you have even one guest under that age (which we frequently do), then everyone goes to the family pool. I don't mind noisy and splashing kids at the family pools, in fact I expect it. But limiting the types of toys and games allowed in the pools is the only way to ensure that guests and their hosts of all ages are able to access and enjoy the family pools.

We have friends who live in another area in FL, in an over-55 community that has a more water-park facility to take the grandkids to. Perhaps that would be something for someone to think about...to build near here! As to the comments here, I'd think it's about liability re: "the rules".

Well it is the important things in life that we focus on, like; behavior at the pools, and gas verses electric golf carts...

Someone was just telling me about a "wet t shirt contest" held most Saturday evenings at the nearby adult pool. I guess everyone heads up to the square for happy hour afterwards...The 30 and over rule kind of makes sense at that pool. ;-)
