Looking for driver to go to Fort Lauderdale in December and to bring us back in January.

Depending upon the length of your cruise, you might be better driving your own car and parking at the terminal. For instance, if you're going on a 7 day cruise, your parking cost would be approximately $100. There are less expensive parking options, but parking right at the cruise terminal is very convenient.
The drive to Ft. Lauderdale and the cruise terminal is a piece of cake... Once you exit the turnpike, there are tons of signs to direct you to your specific terminal and parking location.

One option is to do a one-way car rental each way. We have done that with Hertz in the past. There is a Hertz rental location within a few minutes of the cruise terminal and they shuttle back and forth for no charge.

Could it be that the poster does not drive, or they do not do any distance driving? That's was my thought when I read the post.
