Has any one else noticed the strange taste of soft drinks at Applebee's over the last 4 months?

Diet or regular? The sweateners in diet drinks influence what they taste like.

I find that things taste OK with aspartame (NutraSweet). Stevia gives me raging headaches. Anything with sucralose (Spenda) tastes like dirty socks. Saccharin doesn't have a bitten aftertaste for me.

Taste has a genetic component. I love papaya. My ex (and her son) swore it smelled like rotten garbage. Most folks love cilantro. I'm one of the ones who thinks it tastes like soap.

My hubby and i noticed the Diet Pepsi tasting strange, but that was about 6 months ago-haven't been back since. But you are definitely correct.
