The articles on Villages.xxx and in the Daily Sun regarding the "home invasion" in Summerfield are a little strange.

The article in the Sun said the intruder first knocked on the door at 1:30 am, was refused admittance, came in through a window and was hit with a bat. He then took the bat, hit the occupant, stole prescription drugs from the occupant's pants pocket and left.

Obviously the intruder knew the occupant had "prescription" drugs in his pants pocket.

This was not a random break-in. I would venture to guess both the intruder and victim were both not stand up citizens.

It is a safe bet that many homes here have RX. However, what we don't know is what the burglar's original intent was? Perhaps he was looking for anything of value plus RX???????????????????????????????????????????/

P.S. If buggyone is correct it illustrates a good reason why people who are otherwise very friendly and hospitable don't let people they hardly know in their homes

Agree, something doesn't quite wash here.

Just to be clear for those who don't yet live here,

Summerhill is a village in The Villages. Summerfield where this home invasion occurred is another closeby community.
