Just so there is no doubt, here is the original thread...

There was an erroneous statement elsewhere that the thread had been deleted.

University of South Florida in Tampa, (an hour or so away) is a wonderful resource for Huntington's Disease. They have a big support group for people who have it and their families. They also do testing for people with family members who have Huntington's who want to know if they will themselves develop it. It is a simple blood test. It is handled very discreetly and it is not terribly expensive if you go thru their labs. They also have research programs for pts. who are interested in learning about this inherited disease in their families as a confirmed person with it ,or potential family member who could develop it .It almost always develops in the young adult years 20-40s. It is really worth checking out ... The site is on line under USF Health .Look under research.

Just want to send out one last THANK YOU to everyone who donated to Team Patty for this past weekend's HDSA Team Hope Walk. Thanks to all of you, I get to make a very special phone call to my mom this afternoon to let her know that we raised OVER 3500 DOLLARS in her name towards Huntington's Disease research - the second highest team total in LA!

None of this would have been possible without such an amazing group of friends and family, and as I think I've probably said a million times before, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have so many wonderful people in my life. So, on behalf of myself and my family, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts
