Hello everyone, I have been learning so much on this forum. We visited TV last year for a short time and thought it was great. Looking forward to meeting so many new people when we arrive.

Thanks Gracie. We were on a vacation at Disney and I really wanted to see if TV was as great as advertised. My wife and I took a trolley tour, visited a rec center and had dinner at Lake Sumter. I really enjoyed it all. I was most impressed how friendly everyone was. When we went to the rec center people just came up and introduced themselves. Everyone was so outgoing. So actually I thought the advertising was great but the reality was even more impressive. Can't wait to return.

So where are you from in Maryland? We moved from Westminster, MD in beautiful Carroll County in October 2012 and we have never looked back. My neighbors and now good friends are from Sykesville and another couple are from Dundalk. You will meet a lot of people from MD down here. Welcome to your new home. Notice the hat.

We live in Millersville, about 10 minutes north of Annapolis. I recently retired from Baltimore County P.D. My wife works as an R.N. at Howard County General. Her father lived off Gorsuch Rd in Westminster area ,Carroll County is a beautiful area, buts way too much snow for me,lol.

Welcome to The Villages. We are from Rockville, MD and are here around six month a year. We are about to make the decision to become full time residents.

I recently retired from Baltimore County P.D...
If you're retired from Baltimore County Police Department, another poster retired from there and moved to Sanibel about two years ago. He posted initially a lot and even talked about starting a Ravens club and he befriended me on this site. However, he hasn't posted in a year or more and we never connected off site, he went by the screen name SgtJohn. Here's a link to his profile: https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/members/sgtjohn-25504/

Thanks for the information, I don't know him by name, I may recognize him if I saw him. We had about 2000 sworn officers when I retired. Of course I am a Ravens and Orioles fan. The county where I live (Anne Arundel) is Ravens and Redskins area.
It would be fun to join a Maryland club or Mid-Atlantic club. I also love college football-Go SEC,lol.

We lived on Winterberry Lane, off of Coon Club Road, off of Gorsuch Road. I know what you mean about the snow. Small world. You will love The Villages. So much to do, so little time to do it all.
