Can some one in the 10-13 club answer this.... Do they have Aetna HMO Medicare in The Villages? Or would we need to change providers ( if we were permanent residents in TV)
Thanks

You can go to Medicare.gov: the official U.S. government site for Medicare (http://www.medicare.gov) and search for plans in the area by your new zip code. I did a quick search for zip code 32162 in Sumter County and there are 14 HMO & PPO plans, though not Aetna.

We had an Atena PPO offered by my husbands employer when we first moved here. Our employer only offer a choice of two Atena plans here. I don't know why we had so few choices as we had several companies to choose from previously. There were very few providers on our list and the TV hospital was not on their list. We changed companies this year to a non employee based plan in order to get better coverage at a lower rate. I don't know what your plan may offer here. You might have better options.

My husband's employer pays for our health insurance. In April when he turned 65, he was switched from Blue Shield to Aetna Medicare PPO extended. Even though the Villages hospital and Leesburg hospital is not listed as being in network, they get approval for services with full coverage because we live outside of the network area.

I recently moved to TV and do not become Medicare eligable until later this year,
Prior to moving here I was a member of the 10-13 club of SWFL
Many of my friends were covered by Medicare and used GHI as their secondary insurance without any problems and all advised they were happy with the services they received
I assume this to be the same here
Good luck
