Hired them to convert a 36 volt cart to 48 volts. Was told it would take about 2 hours to do at my home . SEVEN WEEKS LATER and an additional $300 I finally got my cart back from them. Needless to say,I am not happy. Too much to go into but I will say that all they did was make excuses and blame everyone but themselves. I have my own theory as to what really happened but no proof. I even called Ken Spano twice during this ordeal and he did not even have the courtesy of returning my calls. Would strongly suggest everyone avoid using this company. My cart was returned filthy, the new solenoid was just hanging under the cart, the old one still bolted in place and the relay switch was also not connected. All this shody work and they had my cart for seven weeks. NEVER AGAIN KEN SPANO-YOU SHOULD GET NO WORK FROM VILLAGERS!!!!!!

I have used Spano for service and have been very happy. They converted my LSV back to golf cart for $25 extra charge. Very reasonable. I have recommended them to other Villagers with no complaints, and will continue to do so.

I agree with OP that they did one bad job. I have no doubt they wish they never attempted it. If you want to convert a 36v cart to 48v, Don't use Spano. Better yet, sell the cart and buy a 48v cart. You will have a lot less headaches.

"... one point does not make a curve..."

I'll add my negative vote, and at least we can make a straight line.

Extrapolate it where you will

Good work, honest company. Why anyone would want to convert a cart's electrical system is beyond me anyway. Sell the 36v and buy one with 48v. Plenty of good used cart deals out there. Spano has a pretty good reputation from most people here in the Villages. Otherwise, he'd be long gone.
