Time to go back tonight. :pepper2:
I've not been following the forum of late and have definitely avoided the Politics arena, so I've not heard comments about this. I understand the Obama campaign came out earlier today recognizing that millions of Americans were getting an extra hour sleep today. Obama feels that while this is a nice benefit for those getting the hour, it was completely unfair to those Americans who didn't win life's lottery and who don't reside in Daylight Savings states and consequently miss out on the extra hour. Therefore, he is asking those lucky recipients to return 34 minutes of sleep to the government and the government will share the wealth with the less fortunate.
This year the program will be voluntary but if the election Tuesday goes as predicted, a mandatory program will be put into effect next year. Senator Harry Reid has endorsed the proposed policy, though he really doesn't understand "Spring back, Fall forward." Senator Biden has promised that no American families with income under $67,500 will lose sleep.

Never liked the fall back. makes the daylight hours so short and the nights so long. I think the days are short enough this time of year without setting the clocks back. Anyone know why they STILL do this???
