brake lining adhesive

Has anyone used brake lining adhesive, to repair Brake shoes, auto or Golf cart?

These are brakes, I would not trust anything but new brake shoes. These type repairs ALWAYS fail when you need them, when you applied the brakes. It is not worth the chance, IMO. Please but new shoes or pads, we like all our neighbors.
