Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and cream gravy is my very fav.
If I have a 2nd choice it would be a tie between a bar grilled hamburger (cooked medium well) with onion, lettuce, tomato, mustard, and ketchup or homemade chicken soup with hand rolled homemade noodles.

Chicken & dumplings, but only if I make it. I've been told by many I make the best and it's my signature dish for friends & family.
When we use to eat beef pot roast over mashed potatoes was another favorite. I'd cook the meat in the crock pot for 8 hours and it would melt in our mouth. My secret gravy was awesome. We miss that red meat.

Home made (mine) steak and mushroom pie, gravy, mashed and french sliced pole beans .. but, have a friend who makes the most wonderful chicken pot pie - takes two days to make it so it is a rarity. I guess it's a toss up - steak or chicken pie!

It's definitely an oldie but goodie. It still often works, even with adults, which I find surprising. Thanks for bringing back some good memories.

Not all at the same time but - fried chicken, real French fries, corned beef hash out of the can with two sunny up fried eggs on top, chipped beef on toast (I use Stouffers), boiled chicken gizzards with onions and rice, Spam sandwiches, tuna fish sandwiches with onions and relish, baby veal liver with onions, fried chicken livers, hearts and gizzards, stuffed potato skins (no bacon please), sardines on crackers, smoked oysters on crackers, hoy salsa and ruffled potato chips and beer.
To name a few.

Also, she put stewed tomatoes on turkey stuffing instead of gravy. Also yummy.:mmmm:

Tuna noodle casserole with peas but the noodles have to be shells and the soup has to be cream of celery.

I've never tried bananas on it, but peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches were another staple at our house. My sister and I were never on the "wanna trade sandwiches" list with the other kids in elementary school, but I much prefer it to PB&J.
Honestly, I still have the same palate I had when I was 8 years old.

For comfort food you cannot beat Lambert's in Sikeston, Mo. And Ozark, Mo., between Springfield and Branson. They are known as the home of "throwed rolls". Huge delicious dinner rolls that they throw to anyone who holds their hand up when they bring them out. They serve entrees like meatloaf, fried chicken, catfish and such, and they go table to table with sides such as macaroni and tomatoes, fried okra, green beans, and fried potatoes and onions. Everything is all you care to eat and you won't go away hungry or disappointed.

Hey, I heard that! Spagettios are the absolute worst, yuck! And wieners? That's bad, very bad. Does he have health insurance?
As far as me answering the question, what my favorite comfort food is, I don't understand the question. I only eat healthy whole foods and every meal is a comfort to me. And it's even more comforting to enjoy good health and not have to take any prescription medication.
