I guess I missed the article in The Village Daily Sun that said the Citizens Bank on RT 466 is going to be closed on Saturdays. I guess I wasn't the only one. When I arrived this morning there were quite a few people also startled by this.
They informed us by a sign that they were only doing "drive through" and that the bank at Lake Sumter is open.
I will miss Citizens on Rt 466 not being opened on Saturdays.

I happened to go into the lobby one day last month and got a brochure. Only two banks have lobby service on Saturday. Some have drive thru and some are closed.
Sorry. Should have posted it.

I'm with you fumar. At first, I thought how ridiculous to have a bank closed on Saturdays. But then I thought, well most of us are retired or semiretired so we really can go to the bank any other time. I was still thinking in the "I'm so busy all week for errands and I have to get everything done on Sat." mode. Boy, am I glad I woke our of that nightmare to find myself here in TV! ;D

All the more reason for everyone to do more on-line banking. It is the greatest invention since the wheel!! It has been over a year since I actually went inside a bank for a Teller transaction. Only visit the bank's ATM machine for spending $.

I knew it couldn't be because of their lack of attractive interest rates or stellar customer service!!

Z, I'm with you at least for the popcorn. Actually butter corn is the only reason for going to the movies.

I go in for all the above, especially the popcorn! But I do go in to make deposits because I don't trust depositing into the ATM (I had a bad experience with that a few years ago) and I don't like to mail in deposits. I want to make sure everything is there! ;D

I am pretty happy with Citizens bank. Location, service, online facilities. The changing on the hours should have been communicated a little better - brochure in bank statement or an ad in the Daily Sun.

I've been very satisfied with Citizens, convenience is unparallelled and customer service is efficient and almost ungodly friendly. Interest rates they pay suck, but all mortar banks are like that. One question, though ~~~ how do you know when it's Saturday? Different TV shows, maybe?
