Marion County sheriff’s deputies are on the scene of a bank robbery which occurred this afternoon at Citizens First Bank at Mulberry Grove.
A man entered the bank at 2:33 p.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The teller gave the money to the man who fled on foot, according to Lt. Louis Pulford of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
A K-9 unit was dispatched and a helicopter form the sheriff’s office went into the air to search the area but had no luck, Pulford said.
Crime scene technicians are on site collecting information.
Video surveillance cameras at the bank captured an image of the suspect.
The parking lot is sealed off with yellow crime scene tape.
