Well I survived the 4 hour round trip to the shuttle launch with my friends, but sadly the weather didn't go along with our plans. Was fun to do something on a spur of the moment though. ;D
Parked about 6 miles from the Cape due to the huge crowds and time constraints,.
Only shot 2 pics of launch.

Eddie, It is an exciting thing to do, even if the weather did not cooperate. Reminds me of being 18 and deciding on the spur of the moment - Road Trip! Thanks for sharing the adventure and the pics.

Cool. Thanks for the pictures. It's nice to know that others out there appreciate spontaneity. I love spur of the moment trips, parties, dinners, etc.

Loved the idea of jumping in the car and heading for a launch. Definately putting that on my to do list.
Time to get back to doing things on a whim, good for you Eddie. 040 040

Hi Eddie,
They are wonderful. I can only imagine how exciting it must have been to be there.
After reading the post on this thread, I think next time we will see if we can rent a bus and all of us can go.
I would have loved to go.

Eddie "
I was also there and It cost me $38.00 bucks to see a "just so so " launch.......It was thrilling but could have been so much better if the cloud layer had stayed like it was a couple of hours earlier ....It was a case of 1-2-3 where did it go ???? :dontknow:
However the upside was that it was worth the money just to see the space center , and I strongly suggest toanyone who does to take the bus tour....its Nothing short of amazing ...
