Today on my way to Publix, passed an 80 plus year old in a really hot Camaro, with very very loud radio playing elevator music that could be heard around shopping center....I had to giggle...Have you had any to share?

No, but I find that really funny! Granny is kicking up her heels at TV! I'm not done having great times, either!

Not quite that old, but I have a new Mustang convertible. I love to crank up the classic rock when I'm riding around. And I got my first ever speeding ticket in it earlier this year. Wasn't going that fast, but the speedometer goes to 160.

Why not? We're never too old to enjoy life and often our joy can be make others happy too. Looks like the 80 + lady added some joy and laughter even without knowing it. :BigApplause:

Well, I do think it is unique but not weird. I am 70 and you will see me in my Camero conversable SS. :girlneener: Why not? Its just a car and of course the music is loud...I couldn't hear it other wise.

Yep that's what The Villages needs more slower reactive seniors driving muscle cars on roads that have speed limits built to accommodate golf carts:D

Elevator music at full blast in a muscle car is, well, um, just wrong. Heck, elevator music is wrong. But the image did give me a giggle.

I don't drive mine in TV. That's why I have a golf cart.

I kind of agree about the elevator music - but whatever floats your boat!
There are, however, certain songs that are MEANT to be played L O U D !

Sheldon loves classic rock and roll; I'm a blues and jazz girl myself, but we can agree on John Hiatt. We have a Shelby and love to ride around and listen to the music, but in Virginia there are strict noise level laws so we have to keep it down.

Seems we all agree on the best music....I too open the sun roof, and windows.....just drive to the music if no one is around me....still have to remain safe...

Just because you have muscle, doesn't mean you have to use it. But if you need it, it's there. I75 waits for no man..or woman.

And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.:sing:

Um, not exactly. Elevator music is a bastardization of any music it tones down and tames. Rock should never be toned down and good rock can't ever be tamed. Heck, even Pop deserves better. Bubblegum music an demo (I really really loathe emo) deserve to be changed into elevator music. Can't make em any worse.
However,as long as they don't touch Paradise by the Dashboard Lights, my world is good. Actually had to get off an elevator once -- it was playing a soft version of Satisfaction. Wasn't sure whether to die laughing, sob my heart out or just go throw up.

It's Sirius XM radio. In the golf cart it's Bluetooth from my phone.

Did you mount a bluetooth speaker in your cart? And then just take it out to charge it?

Topical result of an over dose of Kool-aid-- if not corrected the next symptom is wearing "sagging pants"

I bought Juice, an inexpensive speaker, and it fits perfectly in my cup holder. I have a place to plug in a USB (I think it's 12 volt) so I can charge it while going down the road. It keeps a charge for an hour or so, plus I can charge my phone.
