View Full Version : Just saying "Hello" to all !!!!!
Mr Jamie

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself :
My name is Jamie (currently in the greater Atlanta area) and I just went under contract for a home in the village of Sabal Chase.
I was introduced to the villages back in Dec / Jan of 2013 when I was lucky enough to rent a house in Virginia Trace - I really enjoyed the "vibe" of the villages, the active life style -- but most of all my main attraction was the friendly demeanor of the residents.
My closing is at the end of September and I can't wait. In the beginning I will be a "frost bird" ( it does not snow much in ATL :-) ) but who knows I may be full time sooner than planned.
I am hoping to make new friends - so feel free to say hello. ... and for all of the awesome people I met during my last visit - I sincerely hope we can reconnect.
Hope you all have a great rest of the weekend.
Regards,
Mr Jamie

The entire team here welcomes you and you'll meet no end of great people in many venues. Just don't try to do it all or meet all as soon as you're able to get here. Breathe, you won't regret it.

Thank you AsianThree --- I did not think "Snow Bird" was appropriate for someone living in Atlanta :-)

Hi Nancy - I agree --- That is why I am trying to get a head start before I fully retire - I want to enjoy the lifestyle while my body will still cooperate :-)

Hi 2BNTV - Thank you, I was enamored with TV when I first saw a Television segment on it. I have been trying to get my father to move there for years -- perhaps my purchase will jump start him as well.

Welcome! You sure won't miss the gridlock traffic of Atlanta. Glad you found an area you like & wish you a speedy move.
And leave those "frost clothes" up in GA. You won't need them here...

Thanks again for the warm and Friendly welcome messages :-)
BKCunningham1 --- My Dad is already a Floridian --- (he lives 2 hours from TV) --- Just need to give hime a gentle nudge and I think he may become a TV resident.
Susan G --- You are so right about the Atlanta traffic --- That is the one thing I will not miss.
Beth P - Congratz on your house closing!!!! I am currently just north of you -- I am in the Acworth / Woodstock area --- perhaps we should start a group in TV for ex-OTP'ers.
Mike P -- Hello To you !!!! :-) From your list I take it you are a Vet -- I am ex-USAF
SheilaO -- I originally thought of renting --- but I have been watching the prices for the past 2 years --- and they are not getting cheaper --- I figured I would "lock something up" before I got shut out --- worse case scenario - I rent it out and have an awesome Vacation Home --- Best Case I become a full time resident sooner.
