Dr. Perich --Eye care

have been going to Mid Florida Eye center and now my Optimum Insurance changed providers for Eye care and they want me to go to Dr. Perich--Just had a catarac removed in June and I had a bad experience with Dr. Perich's office last year-- Any one can inform me of their experience with Dr. Perich--
Need advice right away as I am devistated to have to change once again to Dr. Perich.

I am sorry to here that you had a bad experience but let me say that Dr. Perich is a fantastic Surgeon and physician. If you would like, you always have the option of seeing his colleague, Dr. Andronico who is not only an Ophthalmologist but also a Corneal Specialist and a Professor. I know wait times can be a bit excessive but this is due to the quality and high caliber exams that are performed on each patient. Please understand that specialty offices have a higher number of emergent visits than family medicine. There are going to be times that certain patients will require longer visits. Unfortunately, there is no way to foresee which patients will require this extra time or what emergencies may present on a specific day. Many patients complain about the wait time at first but have a difference of opinion when an emergency happens to them and they are the ones needing the stat appointment. Most offices try their best to move patient flow as quick as possible as no office wants their patients to be unhappy.
How do you know that the OP's problem with this doctor had to do with wait times? She didn't say what the problem was.

I had cataract surgery in both eyes done by Dr. Perich last November. Fantastic job and now able to see with better than 20/20 vision in both eyes without glasses. I would recommend him highly. Because he is so good is the reason his office sometimes backs up ever so slightly. He has many satisfied patients. Just my opinion having had hands on experience with this office.

I have the same problem!! I appealed to my insurance and was denied - looking for insurance coverage that will get me back to Mid Florida!!
