I am new on this website and have been visiting TV for almost 10 years now. My sister in law lives here and we fell in love with the place during our first visit. My husband has finally retired and we have our home in NJ for sale. We want to join all of you in becoming residents of TVs! During my scanning of new topics I came upon the subject of SINK HOLES in both Hadley and Poinciana. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject? We visited last year just about 2 weeks after the awful tornadoe ripped through Sumter. I cannot imagine the horror of a tornado and now I am reading about sink holes. What's up with these and how bad is the problem?
Thanks for any info.

We live in Poinciana and the only sink hole we're aware of was a small one in the roadway (St. Charles) near the pool at Alamanda. Seemed it took a while for it to be repaired and patched and there's still a small dip in the road, but if there were more we're not aware.

Central western FL is riddled by sink holes. Here is a link by county. Scroll down and you can choose what county you want to see. I have the general link and also one for Sumter.

Did I read that correctly that the info provided is 1996 and prior? 12 yrs old. Here's one of the companies that advertises on TOTV. You might just contact them for some info.

Come on guys
Sinks holes are not a problem here ,,,,,I think there have been three small ons's in the four years I've been here and they have been repaired very quickly ( like an hour).......Also the tornado that struck here is the first one to hit this area sense 1960...........Most of the up to date news comes from the super market tabloids...
