With a number of snowbirds in the villages, do folks offer the purchase of shares of homes ie, quartershares? Thanks

I'll sell 1/2 the guest bedroom closet and maybe 20 percent of the garage. And I am open to offers for some of the holes on the putting green.

Hopefully, so more sensible answers will follow.

I think most purchase with the goal being to live here permanently, so sharing doesn't really work. However, I do know of one home that is owned by two families -- both snowbirds. Part of the time it is one household or the other. At least one month out of the year they come down together to do general maintenance and the like together. Works well for them.

The Villages will issue resident ids to anyone who is on the Title (so, in the case of 2 couples, if all 4 names are on the title) or to anyone who can prove they are a permanent resident of that address (drivers license, checkbood, car registration) even if they are not on the title.

With a resident ID, you get all the resident privileges. For golf, you buy one trial fee for the household and it's good for up to 4 RESIDENTS of that household (to the dismay of Uncle Muncle).

nitehawk...don't know the answer to that but my guess would be a couple has to be residents of the same house. You can always call the golf/country club administration offices for an official answer.
