Our one year old air conditioner is running, but the air coming out doesn't seem that cold. Anyone have any suggestions on what might be wrong? Its one of those outside thingies. Do they have a filter that needs to be replaced? Any suggestions on a good repair service and/or any specials going on if we end up going that route? Thanks in advance!!

air filters should be changed on a regular basis but sounds like your problem might be something else. Is there an air handler inside the house or is the entire unit outside? Might also check your thermostat batteries if it is battery operated, some are some aren't. Would also check to make sure your thermostat is not set to circulate only. I have used crystal air with good results 352-821-2665.

LD, Like so many of our neighbors we had a problem with our 18 month old Trane AC. The air exchange unit in the garage had a freon leak. The filter was soaking wet. The unit would run but never reach the set temperature. We called Sun Kook who installed the unit for the builder and they replaced the air exchange unit under warranty. There was a whole bunch of defective Trane units in TV and many were covered beyond the original Trane warranty period. You might want to start with the Warranty Office even if you're beyond the 1 year period.

If it is one year. call the AC company that installed it. It is most likely under warranty. They can explain whatever questions you have about your system
