We reside in the Village of Duval. Could someone please tell me the location of the nearest Post Office. Thank you.

Really depends where you live in TV. There's one that is "officially" the TV PO but I have clue where that is.

Here's a list:

3974 County Road 201 (near 466)
Oxford, FL 34484-2801

23 Lagrande Blvd (441, across from Target, sorta)
Lady Lake, FL 32159-1344

850 Teague Trl (near 441/27)
Lady Lake, FL 32159-3146

If you need a list of others, go to www.usps.gov

Looks like Wildwood might be the closest to Duval.

The closest and easiest to reach from Duval is Fruitland Park. Go to 466A, turn left and go a few miles. It's a good size post office on the left side of the hiway. No traffic to speak of.

We use Fruitland Park Post office also. Turn left on 466A. Post Office in on left near a gas station. It's pretty close.

Does anyone know where the Carriers are housed---Carriers that deliver mail to The Villages? I'm thinking it is the P.O. on Teague Trail? Thanks--

Twice I've used (to mail packages) the mobile P.O. that parks at Sweetbay, right in front, right here in TV (near Lake Sumter Landing). It's very convenient for those south of 466.

I'm not sure of the hours but am sure someone here will help. Has been there both times I've tried to find it. Am guessing it's Monday-Friday, like 9-4 or 9-3?

It used to be Tuesday and Thursday, 10 to 3 or 4 I believe, and they do take an hour off for lunch at 1. I've used the PO on wheels a couple of times. It's nice to have it there.

Wildwood PO is about 2.5 miles west of Buena Vista in the Wildwood Shopping Center.

A tip was passed on to us by the prior owners of the villa we recently bought in Duval: The Post Office on Teague Trail is usually reeeeeal busy. So if you plan to conduct any business that involves lining up to see one of the clerks, plan on it taking a while. We went there to mail a letter a couple of Saturdays ago - - - and they were right! The line was clear through the lobby and out to the door!! I'd have rather stuck a dull pencil in my eye than wait in a line that long at a post office. :)

They suggested going to the location in Wildwood - said they've never encountered a line there.

And where else in th U.S. have you seen a post office in which there are NO stamps etc. sold in the lobby???? The one across from Target sort-of is the same way!! Standing in line to buy postage at the window only (no vending machines) is ridiculous and backwards.

I buy postage at the supermarket or online now..no wonder the P.O. is losing mail volume...they close early, before people get out of work at 5-6:00, and nothing is sold in the lobby. Pathetic way to do business.

The Oxford one is on the West side off of 301, about two blocks North of 466

LaGrande Blvd one is across 441 from Perkins behind El Ranchito restaurant, this PO is golf cart accessible (from the West side of 441 take the golf cart bridge and turn right; from the historic area, there is a cart gate access behind the Plaza or drive to the cart bridge and keep going straight instead of getting on the bridge)

Teague Trail one - go East at the light on 441 by Lady Lake City Hall (across the highway from Kohl's) go past the city hall and the police station and make a left into the post office property, drive around to the front of the PO.

I know in Hartville and Uniontown Ohio all the vending machines have been removed over a year ago. Glad I stocked up on Forever stamps way back when and now do everything I can on the internet.

I get my stamps at the ATM at the mail stop. They are forever stamps. Two sheets of 18 on a sheet last me all year.
