I know, I know talked about many many times already but nothing came up in the search above and I didn't pay attention before.

Sooo my VLS agent is reitired and I stumbled upon one but want to know who you think is the best. Also has anyone used Jason Krantz and would you recommend him?

How about MLS? Who's the best now?

Thanks for your help!!!

You will probably get as many opinions as there are agents! Everyone believes they have or had the best working for them.

ssmith - I don't know if I have seen his name mentioned here before or not, but we finally bought a home through Chris Hallmark who works as a VLS agent. He, happily and patiently, worked with us for 5+ years through many changes and decisions before we actually bought a home. He never pressured us and was always so kind and patient. He answered any calls/questions/etc very promptly and never seemed to mind being called even if it was a weekend or holiday. Just a great guy! His right hand person in the office, Gloria, is also very nice and conscientious. They made the whole process a real pleasure and we feel that we have made new friends!

Sorry I can't help you from first hand experience regarding an MLS agent, but I wish you all the best in your search. Hope you will be a TV homeowner in no time!

We used VLS agent Tim Harding who was referred to us. He was great to work with, returned our email and phone calls promptly, never any pressure and was able to answer all our questions. I'm sure other buyers have similar comments regarding their sales reps, good luck.

We used Jason and could not have been more satisfied. As previously stated a lot of folks have had good experiences with their sales rep. However you could not go wrong using Jason.

In addition to a great job in helping you find a home, he does not forget about you when the sale is over.

VLS - Debra Parks

We listed and sold with her in 2010. And she also assisted us in purchasing a home.
We are only interested in purchasing resales, and she never pressured us to buy a new home.
She is an excellent agent, very experienced and professional.

We used MLS to buy our first home in 2007 - Laura and Armond Vien.
We bought sight unseen and closed without seeing the house. They made the whole transaction very easy for us.

Katie Stradinger - 352-267-2090. She is a VLS agent who tirelessly sent us PDF's of homes we were interested in and answered many questions between our first visit in late March and our lifestyle visit in late June. We were sold on a Laurel Oak and she knew we were going to buy it, but still wanted us to look at one more that she thought we would like even better with the view I wanted and the kitchen my wife wanted. The only catch was it wouldn't come on the market until 5pm that day. It was perfect for us, and she got it ahead of two others who were right behind us. My wife and I were and are thrilled. It was the same price as the one we were going to buy, so she didn't get anything extra for her trouble but 2 very happy new Villagers. She also stayed in touch through and after closing.

Katie is a fabulous agent and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Thanks all....keep em coming.....

Other than your original post to this thread, you have requested twice again,
for more and more referrals for Realtors and sales agents.

If you are going to choose from someone's recommendation
from one of the posts, don't you have enough from which to choose???

What are you really looking for?

We used VLS rep R. J. Albritton. We bought sight unseen. He went over and took lots of extra pictures for us to see. He answered every question honestly. He came by two days after we closed to check on us, and he continues to pop in if in the area. He was WONDERFUL,

Have you considered "None of the Above"? Rather than pay the usual 6% commission, you can either (a) sell it yourself or (b) pay a flat-fee listing broker (about $300) to put your house on the MLS system and numerous websites and give you some advice on selling. I would wouldn't recommend either approach, however, unless you are somewhat familiar with real estate transactions and/or willing to do some homework.

With a flat-fee broker, you reserve the right to sell your house yourself, in which case you pay no commission. If a realtor sells it for you, you pay whatever commission you stipulate when you list. The usual is 3%, which you would probably be wise to pay in order to incentivate realtors to show the property. But paying either 0% or 3% is a lot better than paying 6%.

In either case, you will have to do some work and line up a title company to handle the closing. I happen to think that flat-fee brokers are probably the wave of the future. In reality, with the advent of the internet, a listing broker generally doesn't do much for his half of the standard 6% commission except put the house on the MLS and websites and hold a few open houses, with the open houses generally attracting more curious neighbors than serious shoppers.

Fun to see my old thread back from the dead!!!!hahahaha

WE used Jason Krantz and we are very glad we did (VLS agent). I had a concusion and both my husband and I did not get much sleep the night before because our plane was late. He helped me to be able to think straight and find out what was important to me.

Then I had to cancel with Lyle Grant MLS agent. He was very kind and understanding too.
