Is anyone aware of housing for Villages employees under the age of 40? Access to schools, benefits? What is considered employment with the Villages? Would employment at the VA count?

There are three areas of housing built by the developer for employees in the past 15 or so years. The newest is Bison Valley, next is Spring Arbor and the oldest is Oak Meadow. Houses for sale in these areas are listed on The Villages website.

Bison Valley and Oak Meadow are golf-cart accessible to TV, but have no amenities and residents pay no amenity fees.

Normally to attend the charter school, one must be either employed by The Villages or a vendor, but these rules change from time to time.

My educated guess is that employment at the VA Clinic in Mulberry would not qualify a person or their family access to The Village Schools.

Double check with The Villages to be sure.

Some, but not all, jobs at The Villages Health clinics come with "charter school" access. And some professional offices in TV commercial property have "charter school" access. Seems to be limited to mostly professional jobs or tied to property that they really really want to lease.

I thought the land being developed across rte 301 just south of 466 was going to be another " family" oriented housing area...similar to Bison Valley.

IS this correct or not?

All press releases point to that concept.

I have children in the school. This is our 11th year with kids enrolled there. If you work on villages property which the va is as long as you work I believe at least 30 hrs a week then they would qualify for the school. There are 3 different ways to qualify. You can either work for the villages it self, work for a company on villages property or work for a sub contractor for the villages. The last is how I qualify.
