Anyone interested in working with me to start a group for hoop dance/flow exercise classes? It is similar to baton twirling, but you use a hula hoop. I have a few hoops that can be used to get us started. Contact Brenda @ Kensadmail@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Thanks Bogie Shooter. I am new here. Can you tell me if I am even in the right place to find people interested in Hoop dancing?

This is a good place to start. At least you'll have some idea of interest.

I'm just wondering if you'd be able to get a room large enough. I think hula hooping is a great form of exercise and bet it would be a fun class, but you'd certainly have to be able to spread out.

Good luck!

There is a hula hoop group that meets at Eisenhower at 12:30 on Friday's. My friend went and had a great time.

Thanks! There is a regular "hoop fitness" class available and they use a huge room. Hoop dance is very different and I am not sure how to get people interested. Dancing is not really required. You twirl the hoop. It is lots of fun and looks beautiful.
