Does everyone know there are about 77 pools in the Villages? Does anyone know if anyone has visited ALL 77 pools in a SINGLE day? I would be interested in knowing? Thanks!

A few years ago, there was a story in the Sun about a guy who had taken his golf cart and dipped at least his toe into every pool in one day. Of course, most of the pools south of 466A didn't exist at that time -- I think maybe the pools off of Pinellas did but I'm going by memory. Sounded like he had a blast.

The Villages swim team had an event a few years ago where the members did some sort of race, going to many of the pools, swimming a lap, then on to the next pool and so on. It may have been for charity, I can't remember.

Just curious, where or how are there 77 or so pools, does this count private pools or exclusive country club pools or are there really that many public pools in TV?

Another question, just slightly off topic. If one does not golf (and no desire to) can you still join the Country clubs to use their pools and other facilities? Is it expensive to join if you don't want to golf?

First, yes there are that many public ( for TV residents) pools. Second, by virtue of your home ownership, you are already a member of all the country clubs. You can purchase a pool upgrade, a pool and tennis upgrade, and a priority membership for golf (if you play enough , it's a good deal).

I live in Lake Deaton where there is still a lot if construction going on. My question is are the workers allowed to use the bathroom facilities? I must have seen at least 10 using them yesterday during my hour there.

Bobbi and I are working on swimming in all the pools within our first year here - we started in March. I have a spreadsheet with 75 pools - those are the ones at Rec Centers. We'd love to include the CC pools too if we could. We've now done 34 of them...just keep swimming swimming!
We did joke the other day about trying to go to all in a day - sounds like a fun challenge!
