In. In. IN!! Charlie Hustle belongs -- he never gave less than his all on the field.

Although I do not like him personally, he should be in. Look at some of the people who did things much worse than he and were never dismissed from baseball.

If let in will open the way for others who broke the rules.
I'd say OUT.

In his actions late in his career didn't diminish his skills as a player or his achievements.

His house was next-door to a friend of mine. Spent time having picnics and parties with him. Although I do not condone his earlier actions. IN

At this point, if my count is correct, we have 16 for IN and 8 for OUT. Keep on voting people and let's see where this goes.

In. What he did was paid for many times over as I don't think in his particular case, it should be a lifetime ban. He didn't cheat the game, as some who use PED's did. He always gave his all on the field.

Although, I don't condone his gambling and his lifestyle, he should let back in as he is the all-time hits leader, unless Iricho Suzsuki passes him in the next year or so.

In but after death and then not until a particular amount of more time. Shoeless Joe too but he deserves to be in now.

Pete Rose, now there is a ball player! IN, with a notation.

Isn't it odd how many can't wait for someone else to fail and fall from grace. What's so bad in finding and celebrating the good (greatness) in the world?

If you want to save the purity of Cooperstown keep him out.

If you suggest gambling shouldn't keep you out of Hall of Fame (Horning, Karras in NFL) then vote him in.

The choice is yours.

Now what are we going to do about the steroid users (have a room around the back of the Hall)?

In. Nobody thinks his gambling was anything but stupidity but his work ethic and skills as a player earned him a place. There is no place for personal grudges in baseball and that's all this amounts to.

What Pete got caught doing had nothing to do with his baseball skills. Those improving their skills with drugs out. Pete Rose in.

Had he been a thug, drug user, wife beater he would be in. He unfortunately had a gambling disease and baseball commissioner that was a thug. He should be IN IN IN!

IN - I believe he only bet when he was a manager and not a player. He was not known as a great manager but a great player. Had he never managed he would be in the hall of fame today. From my understanding, when he did bet as a manager on his own team, it was always for his team to win.
