I have found a number of physiatrists in The Villages area. I recognize two of them from mentions on TOTV. I'm looking for someone who deals with spine issues.
Can anyone give a recommendation for the following doctors, particularly relating to back/spine issues?: Lewis J Herzbrun, Nadeem I Hussain, Robert L Maiello, Sridhar Pinnamaneni,
Jason R Deluca.
Hussain and Maiello are not board certified, which concerns me a bit.

My husband has been a patient of Dr. Pinnamaneni for 2 years. Dr. P is a pain management physician and you must have a referral from your doctor to see him (which, I think is pretty common in most states when dealing with pain management. He was originally referred by Dr. Spurrier). Bill thinks very highly of him.

Thanks, applesoffh. I am actually looking for someone to fix the problem rather than manage the pain that the problem is causing.
My friend in MI is having a very bad back problem, and a physiatrist is saying he can help him through manipulation. I was hoping to find that here.

Look up Dr. Daryoush Payman... he is the best interventional pain management specialist in the area, and he is in this months of Style magazine....he is board certified and his health grades reviews and ratings speak for themself....he personally took care of me, and he doesn't mask the problem to throw pills at it..he goes to the source of the problem to fix it....his number is 352 391 1750 .

My experience with a physiatrist was not much different than treatment from a chiropractor. Short term relief might happen but eventually you'll be right back where you started. Some spine/back issues are here forever, you learn to deal with those issues. I tried everything short of surgery, Dr Spurrier said surgery would not help my issues. I do all my sports still but do give my back a chance to rest with ice, heat...whatever.

Thanks, I'm hoping to get back to that point somehow.
