I understand that EZGO has a special tool to release the brake (armature) on their RXV electric carts Is this tool available to all mechanics who service EZGO carts. Or does EZGO limit this tool to their authorized dealers only? I ask because with dead batteries it's impossible to put the cart in "tow" mode or move the cart without lifting the cart with a wheeled jack.

I am sure EZGO has a tool for that task, however when we need to pick up a broke down
EZGO cart we reach in from the left side access plate in the rear press the release bar and block it off with a wood wedge.
After the wedge is in place the cart will coast and brake is released.
