Granite Countertops - Contractor Recommendation

Like many folks it seems, we want to switch out the laminate countertops with granite in the home we've recently purchased. I've heard some horror stories on some of the granite work done at TV, so wanted to get feedback from y'all on your experience (good and bad) with work that you've had done so we can hire someone soon. Thanks!

I highly recommend Duncan Stone 253-0499. They do granite and quartz. We had our kitchen done with quartz. They were very competitive and are the best contractor I have ever dealt with.

We had granite installed yesterday by Minami Granite Design in Ocala. They were great to work with and the countertops look fabulous. The crew was on time and very professional. Being that they had to fabricate the tops they did ask for 50% down with the balance paid after installation. They were $10 a sq. Ft.. Cheaper than 4 other places for the same top (we may have caught a summer sale). Their phone number is 352.671.9800, ask for Jessica or Elizabeth. If you like, you can tell them Sheryl sent you.

Duncan Stone --- very professional - and helpful... I believe Ultimate Granite is his supplier ( that is where we went to pick out the granite) and they have a HUGE selection.. Nothing negative to report..

Minami did our kitchen for us. They were super reliable and professional. Recently we had a problem with water stains. Mr. Minami came to our house, repaired the problem, and never charged us a penny for the service. The granite was two years old when he came. Will defintely do business with them again when it's time to do the bathrooms!
