He was recommended to me by a friend so I went. He seemed busy that day but treated my issue and explained re: another issue I had...then gave me sample meds to try for it.
I understand he does MOHS as well if you're in need of it.

My husband uses him, and really likes him - and if my husband doesn't like a doc he simply changes, so for him to return is a very strong recommendation.

My neighbor, who is a patient with several cancerous moles removed, recommended him. I found that he is very through and easy to communicate with.

I used him one time but did not like his personality at all. I am sure he is an excellent dermatologist.
I currently use Dr. Casper at Alliant Dermatology.
Dermatology definitely is a great medical specialty to have in The Villages, I bet.

I have seen Dr. Hassanein. He removed a large scar from my leg. Hassanein was very abrupt and did not really take an appropriate amount of time with me to explain what he was doing and why. In my opinion he had one of the worst approaches to me as a patient I have ever seen. The surgicial site became very infected. I'm not blaming him for the infection, I have no idea why that happened. However, his office was not responsive at all and did not want to let me come in for a couple of weeks with the problem. I couldn't get an appointment until I told them I would have to go to the emergency room at the hospital if they did not see me, and that I would be letting them know Dr. Hassanein would not see me. At that, they found time to fit me in. The Dr. prescribed antibodics as I knew he would and advised his staff he would see me if I called back. I did not need to. After this I continued to use Dr. Hassanein's PA. She was very good. But when she left the practice I did too. Sorry, but I can't recommend Dr. H. based on my experience. I see Dr. Freeman now. That has been working well for me for the past 6 years.

Don't know dr H but I can recommend Alliant. Seeing Dr. Caspar is very hard, but his PA Dr Gandhi is pretty good. Saw her within a 10 day notice, see did a body review for all and any items, checked for melanoma ( thank goodness none) and did follow up a week later. Also saw an ad in the Sun for a new dermatologist just east of the main gate on 466.

I am a Melanoma survivor who went to Dr. Hassanein's office. Since I have had Melanoma in the past, I prefer to be seen by the physician, not the PA. I had a skin cancer on the side of my knee which the PA removed (had never had a PA do skin cancer surgery on me before), and really wasn't comfortable with it. The lesion was removed, stitches put in, and after a month, the whole incision reopened. I was basically told there was nothing they could do, & I still have a dent in my leg where the surgery was performed. Also, I would suggest that you check his credentials. Never went back, and am now a patient of Dr. Casper.

Do you mind telling me where this Dr. H is located? I want to make sure it's not the one I've been told to try!!

I went to him when my insurance changed as did providers. I was not impressed! It was my first time so I expected that he'd give me a comprehensive exam...it didn't happen. I felt he was hurried, didn't spend all that much time with me and as other posters said he was abrupt. He is understandable as far as communicating but due to my 1st impression I won't be going back. The waiting room was full and folks seemed to be coming and going quite readily. It may just be me, but I didn't have a very good "feeling" about the practice. He may be fine and good at what he does but he's not someone I want to continue with.
He's located in the next building after the Lange Eye Building....a golf-cart path separates them. I forget the name of the building.
