Horton Hears The Who

I would like to recommend that anyone who is young at heart or has access to their grandchildren go see this darling film. We took our grandchildren today (ages 2 & 4). We all enjoyed the film immensely.

Before we had kids, then grandkids, Tom & I used to borrow other peoples children to legitimately go to these movies.

Not sure about the 2 year old, but the other is certainly old enough to be introduced to The Who.

But I also loved Tommy Can You Hear Me and It's a Boy. You can look those up yourselves. And if Horton liked The Who when he heard them, he should probably also listen to Queen and maybe Jethro Tull.

The Villages? I will have to see this movie pretty soon. I usually wait until the rugrat population in these kind of movies would be small until trying to hear the movie. Some little ones talk, cry, babble, etc. Of course, some normal Villager age movie goers (55+) do the same. :joke:

Dr. Suess's Horton Hears a Who depiction of Whoville does also remind me of TV. Except there is no equilavent to the Mayor in TV like the one in the movie unless perhaps it is Talk Host or Tony???

Did not get to see some of the movie as a rugrat could not stay in his seat in front of me and the Grandma was often chasing him down.

Yes. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing the DVD so that I can view the scenes that I missed because of the jumping bean kid in the seat in front of me.

Did not see any 2 2 4 and/or 6 1 3 references in Horton Hears a Who but I have seen them in a number of recent movies SOME still playing in TV's theaters like Drillbit Taylor, No Country for Old Men, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, and maybe in Definitely, Maybe.

Could mean a bunch of people are trying to get people involved celebrating the Yankees (check Yankee's retired #s http://www.donniebaseball.com/mattingly/numretired.html), or with pushing Christianity with John 3:16 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_3:16, or perhaps with empowering survivors of crimes with access through information via the Internet and various nations' library systems. The later is my cause since 1991 of which I hope I have had some impact with my 18 years of efforts to improve access to practical information for survivors of crimes. Have received 24 nominations to Marquis Who's Who volumes since 1992 but can only hope that the media has noticed my international efforts in this very creative way. Thanks. Just wonder what certain numbers that show up again and again in movies, TV shows, books, and the like might or might not mean???? Is someone trying to convert people to Christianity through a reference to John 3:16 through subtle references to it??? Expand the Yankee fan base? My theory was that they are for putting pressure on publishers, librarians, lawyers and the like to improve resources for victims of crimes in different types of libraries throughout the world. I have tried to do this in many ways since 1991 and did try to get many movie studios; celebrities like "George Clooney"; Tom Cruise; and Jim Carrey; various associations, law enforcement agencies, mental health groups, and even politicians involved via e-mails, snail mails, and even a few person-to-person meetings. The person-to-person meetings were more with librarians, a police detective, and the like.

My only connection with anyone with some kind of relation to the movies is that I volunteered at two public libraries in Palm Harbor, FL for 3 years (2000-2003) for 10 to 14 hours per week with a man with the last name of Coppola like the Director of the 3 Godfather movies Francis Ford Coppola. Have no idea though if Gene Coppola is any relation to Francis Ford Coppola, Sofia Coppola, and Nick Cage (born Nicolas Kim Coppola). http://www.tblc.org/phl/

The two Palm Harbor Libraries overseen by Gene Coppola sure fought me long and hard before they got a working link or some kind of connection to the Florida Victim Services Directory. http://myfloridalegal.com/directory Even received a lawsuit and blacklist from volunteering threat from the Palm Harbor Library General Counsel in a letter dated March 2, 2004 the same date of an e-mail from Gene Coppola where he bragged that the Palm Harbor Library had had a link to the FL Victim Services Directory since 2000. All of his reference staff that week in March 2004 I spoke to said there was no such link. Palm Harbor Library got this link on March 15, 2004 with East Lake Community Library getting something like it on June 15, 2004 even though this did not stay active at ELCL for that long.
