Most of the David Baldacci books. All except the Finisher. Which was also good, just completely different than anything else he did. Also liked the Jack Reacher series.

I too have read all of the Vince Flynn books..so sad he is gone. One of my favorite authors in this genre is Daniel Silva. His series on Gabriel Allon is a real treat.
As others have stated, David Balducci is also very good, I've read all of his. I'm currently reading the Jack Reacher series.....I'm interested on what others may suggest here....

Suggest you consider taking a look at Daniel Silva books. His early books had a CIA main character, but then he started the Gabriel Allon series. Allon is a renowned art restorer who is also an assassin for the Israeli Service. Great stories IMO including several involving the Vatican. If you start the series, suggest you read them in chronological order as many characters appear in several books.

I just read a great book that reminded me so much of Vince Flynn and it was Agent of Influence: A Thriller by Russell Hamilton. Great read...give it a try.
