Has anyone tried or received synvisc-one knee injections to relive arthritic pain? How did it work ?

I did get that brand in the past. Now I get Uflexa (sp??). I think both worked equally well and it was my doctor that made the change, probably because of some salesman who came to the office. I have gotten a LOT of relief for the 6 month duration of the shot up til now. I do have to wait until after the 3rd shot has had time to work its magic before I see results. As people have told me, there comes a time when the shots don't work as well and perhaps that's true, but for now I am using them with success. Good luck to you and I hope they work as well for you as they have for me.

I tried synvisc a few years ago. I didn't work for me. I had a friend who used it and it worked very well on one knee but not the other. Seems that everyone is different. You just have to decide for yourself but if it had worked for me I would have continued the injections as long as they were effective.

I just recently received the Synvisc One ( rather than the 3) and it seems to be working quite well. I chose the one shot over the three because there was a copay for each visit to the doctor..might as well get it all at once!

Didn't work very well for me either. Held out as long as I could then the Doc. said it's time to do that knee.

I had success with it on one knee and not on my other knee... I think it depends on how much damage is actually there in the first place. It is worth a try in my opinion though.

I had done for 3 years. In my opinion it doesn't work its very expensive and just extra income for the orthopedic group. I am now in the process of getting a knee replacement.
