Has anyone had recent experience dealing with Toyota dealers in this area or in Orlando? Does anyone know of a painless way to buy? We are shopping for a Prius, but I absolutely detest what you have to go thru to buy a car.

We bought our last two Camrys at Phillips Toyota in Leesburg. We couldn't be happier with the service we received. With our purchase came a two year free maintenance. Free oil changes, fluids and tire rotations. Took it in yesterday for our final freebie. When we've had it in for service we just drive there and they write up what we need and we just wait for it. No problems ever. We will buy again next year and plan to get another Toyota. There was another thread on here a while back about the same subject if you wish to do a search.

Ditto with Phillips Toyota. We contacted their internet person Mike Poole and he was very helpful throughout the process and there was no high pressure to go with extras like service contracts, etc. Our first Hyundai purchase at Jenkins in Leesburg was okay but in subsequent contacts the high pressure was very annoying and a real turnoff to me..

Check out a site called truecar. I used it a few months ago to get price quotes from various local dealers. Ended up buying from DeLuca in Ocala for the price quoted online.

We buy all our new cars thru Costco. Excellent prices, no hassle.

I bought a Prius in March. I called three dealers. I told them what I wanted, what features and what price. Leesburg said they would do the deal. I asked them to email me to confirm. I went in, gave them a check, signed papers and drove away. No hassle, no pressure. You drive the deal on the phone and get a confirmation in writing and then go get the car. If they won't do it, shop elsewhere. By the way, the were great to deal with, very easy, and followed through on everything. I was impressed.

Try using the web site Trucar. I used them and bought a car with no hard sell. You go online ,select the make and model and it will give you three or more dealers who have the car you are looking for with the price. Good luck.

If I may add a little humor into this thread, there is no better experience in buying a car than my husband!
I don't care what the make or model is, he is so good that he even embarrasses me! :a040:

just got a Prius at Philips Toyota Leesburg. Love the Prius and were very pleased with Dealership.
