Hi.
Where can we purchase a "No Solicitors" sign for our front entryway / door?
Are there any rules against having this sign?
Thanks,
Gary7 (newbie)

Most likely Yes- When in doubt, read the Covenants.

It says "no soliciting" on the card reader at the entrance to my village.

AND it appears to be as useless as certain appendages on a boar.
If you have a new house, they will come to your door to try to sell you something.

Totally love this.
Also tired of people telling me about their religion at my door.
I like to be kind to all but its getting out of hand.
I guess some religious zealots, don't celebrate Halloween because they don't like random people knocking on their doors.......

Last Friday, I went to my new home directly after closing. Went inside. Ten minutes later, the "Welcome" lady was at my door. Wow!
Not even any time to get a sign posted!

Religious folks: I just make a deal with them -- if they'll come to my coven meeting on Friday, I'll go to their meeting on Saturday. Usually works.
Solicitors: I just explain I'm flat broke but will happily accept any handouts they care to make. Again, usually works.
But nothing seems to stop them from ringing the doorbell or leaving flyers.

I was told by my salesperson with TV that the rules are as follows. A window sign cannot exceed 12 in by 12 in, so anything printed off your computer (as I did) on regular 8.5 by 11 paper in bold and at least 24 font will work on a window. As for the door, the sign cannot exceed 3 in high by 5 in wide, again per my salesperson with TV.
I have had my sign in place since the day after we moved here in August (I printed them back home before we moved here) and have had only 2 people come to my door. In both case, I politely asked them "Can you read English" and pointed to my sign and they immediately left. Try it.

I had two young Morman lads knock on my door once back in Rooster Poot. After a brief intro, I told them I would listen to them for thirty minutes if they helped me put my pool table (full size with slate top) together. I picked up a lot of good deals from broke musicians over the years. They went and got two more friends and after about two hours we were done. The second two left and I sat down with the first pair, and they started talking....I wasn't aware or prepared for the fact that they expected responses. Thankfully, the half hour went by quickly and they learned that I say what I mean and mean what I say. I briefed the neighbors on the cheap labor, but the young folks learned quickly. I am pleased to have helped them during their passage to manhood.

That's great! I'm moving to TV in 3 weeks. I hope some of those strapping young men knock on my door!
