We have been looking at housing in the villages. Some say "in the city," some "in the country." Are their any extra taxes or the likes living in the city?

There is no "City" other than the TV portion in Lake County also being in the City of Lady Lake which has a population of about 6K without the TV residents.

Closest Cities are Ocala, about 20 miles North, with a population of about 55K and Leesburg, about 15 miles South, with a population of about 20K.

The TV portions in Lake County and Marion County are all built out - no new homes.

The City of Lady Lake provides some services to the Lake County portion of TV and collects taxes for those services. The CDD in Lake County charges less due to the services being provided by Lady Lake.

Not sure if "in the city" or "in the country" applies to most of TV (other than that small piece that boundary-wise is located within the City of Lady Lake). Officially I assume the rest of us are in unincorporated areas in any of the three counties that TV are a part of. Does anyone know if this is correct? Thanks!

GF:

I believe the Lake County Taxes include payments to the City of Lady Lake - so you're right, no "City" taxes.
