We NEVER watch the show since Leno left - personally, no appeal to my age group. I Miss Johnny....
But - Megan... c'mon. Bet your family will give you #$^@%& for the negative picture re "retirement communities". She COULD have left a better image of the place behind of her family's fortune. Shuffleboard...c'mon. That's so 80's.
Thanks for the link, but reinforcement of why NOT to watch this show - shallow interviewing and the forced chuckles.
I must be getting old.

I do not recall ever hearing of her, but it seems she did about typical for those kind of fluff interviews. It certainly was not a good ad for the Villages, but that was not her purpose, so I can't blame her for that. At least she didn't dwell on all the golf carts!

Obviously, she didn't want to talk about growing up here, since "fools" would accuse her of landing a role/career like this only because she's daughter/granddaughter of the "rich" who fools claim "don't work" for what they've attained.

I like the show and I like her as an actress in it. I do agree she seemed nervous but Jimmy Fallon and the Tonight Show is a huge thing in the entertainment industry. Personally, I think it is nice she is trying to make a name for herself as an individual and not just depending on the laurels and money of her grandfather. She could just be sitting home drawing off of a trust fund. Somehow, I don't think that is the way the Morae children were raised.

well, The Villages did not come off looking much better in the Inside Edition clip tonight about singles here who are portrayed as drinking, carousing, of course the Sex on the Square incident with drink named after it. interview with author of Liesureville and good comments from the president of Sumter Singles. i guess it gives us a "mystique" :)

Maybe all this negative talk will keep people away and we won't have to share our little piece of heaven and deal with more and more crowding. From what I hear, it's getting too crowded now, so let them think what they want and stay away and leave us in peace. I know I'm not there yet...but will be soon and I do own a home there.

I don't understand why some people have to make nasty, unkind remarks about this lovely girl. No, she is not a "seasoned actress" because she is not supposed to be. That comes with experience and age, and are far as her appearance...it was impeccable, or perhaps she should come out looking like Cindy Lauper or maybe have a "wardrobe malfunction" . She certainly did no more "giggling" than Jimmy Fallon. Also, her chair was position so that it would have been uncomfortable to talk to Jimmy causing her to adjust herself...big deal.
True, most "old" people do not know her, but if you ask your children they most certainly know Megan Boone. Oh, but I forgot, you probably don't have children as I don't think a parent would make such mean spirited , unkind remarks, about this lovely girl.

You are right. She didn't present well on this interview or on the one with Kathy and Yoda either.
Our daughter has been involved in Civic theatre for years but can't get up and give a speech and is inherently shy.. I can speak in front of groups but would freeze if I had to remember a long script and stage directions.
I feel bad for Megan Boone because she will be limited because of this unless she can overcome it.. That is the reason some actors start taking drugs.
But I still am glad to see that she has tried to follow her dream and doesn't play any "I am rich" cards.
She is a girl from our town and I am proud of her and I have to believe her grandfather is too, and who knows? She may be a Democrat, most young people are.
Some posters will pick on her only because they don't agree with her grandfather's politics and don't like his financial success.
I would go along with just about anything the Morse's do. As most of you know. I sure hope I am right. I will be devastated and embarrassed if Gary Morse is a greedy, nasty, selfish. old person, as some of you think.

She was on the Today show with the guy who plays her husband, Tom Keen, after the season finale. She was wonderful. It was a great calm interesting interview.
When I saw her with Jimmy Fallon, I couldn't believe it was the same person. She was very silly acting and almost jumped out of her seat several times. I am not a fan of Jimmy Fallon. I think he makes his guests look silly sometimes. It definitely did not do her justice to be on there.

I love the Morse, Boone, Parr family and hope they all do well.

The irony is that she is far more well known than her family or TV. She's in her 30's, been acting for 13 years, has credits to her name. Perhaps it's time for to remove growing up in a retirement community from her bio.
I know people whose children had performance anxiety, they saw a sports psychiatrist, it helped. IMO she needs to get a little polishing up and needs to set boundaries (ie NO QUESTIONS ABOUT SEX IN THE SQUARE).

She did say at the outset (when Jimmy noted she looked a little reluctant to be there) that she was nervous but "the people back-stage here are nicer than anywhere else in New York City". To me that clearly meant she was expecting, from experience, to be needled….needled about things that have nothing to do with her acting career...
...like the fact that her mom and grandfather are "rich" and raised her in a town that is safe and carefree for people of any age.
In these NBC interviews, I'd be pretty sure it is the writers and hosts--not Ms. Boone herself--that bring out the retirement community background and get to the subject of The Villages, where they prejudge it's nothing but old, "rich", white, righty, wrinklies.
The NBC hosts almost make more of that than her work on the television series--a role that thousands of talented, pretty young actresses would do "anything" to get, including getting lip injections that look swollen like they got a million bee stings, or grotesque DDD implants that swell up to the shoulders in front. Her natural beauty without false eyelashes etc. is enviable to those who'd do anything to have her role.

Hate to break it to you all, most people have never heard of TV, GM or her mother. If growing up in a retirement community continually comes up it's because she somewhere along the way put it in her bio. Since then she has her own accomplishments, she should drop it.
On her own she has landed a spot on a hit show, she spent 13 years to get where she is, I don't think it had anything to do with family connections. If the family pulled strings it wouldn't have taken 13 years.

Hollywood is mostly Democrats. I would expect that being from the richest family from the Villages which also calls various shots in FL and national Republican politics would work against her towards her family pulling strings. There are various well connected Republicans in Hollywood but I do not see them behind the career of Megan Boone. She has worked very hard to get where she is now IMHO. And these shows like Blacklist are usually about ratings which has very little to do with politics.

Really? Say "rich" to most people and TV is nowhere on the list. Let's see, we have Scarsdale, Sagaponeck, McLean, Darien, Lake Forest, Malibu, TV, Boca Point, Palm Beach. TV is not very well known in the rest of the state outside of Central Florida. I'm a native Floridian and had never heard of it until an NPR report four years ago. When I would tell friends about TV they had never heard of it either. TV does virtually no advertising in Florida. My niece in Cali tells me it's advertised heavily there.
