Is anyone else having problems with reception on their antenna TV this evening?

Do you have an actual antenna? Or were you using a Comcast feed?

Comcast scrambled ALL remaining channels today as both my sets without boxes that got basic network channels in high definition are now shut down. :(

It was good while it lasted....

I can't count how many people I talked out of an antenna and into using the unscrambled Comcast feed over the past 2 years.

A huge VHF antenna is a good way to get local network programming in High definition for free but it's tricky and attics are NO FUN.

They look terrible and we dont want to see them. I won't install an antenna outside, attic only.

Wahhhh!!! Tom...you are right. My QAM TV in the office with direct coax cable hookup (no DTA or box) no longer works. I used to get all the major networks in HD as well as about 20+ other stations. I refuse to rent another DTA for a seldom used TV. I'll just move an existing DTA to wherever it is needed. And then, I lose the HD quality. I read that Comcast has HD DTA boxes in some areas, but, not here.



Comcast, the company you love to hate.... now they have taken away a service and no doubt costs will continue to rise. One of these days, I'm going to ditch them.



So, not to stray too far off topic...is there an inexpensive, simple solution to recover these lost/scrambled channels using an antenna on just one TV?

My antenna solution is $200 installed for 1 TV. If you want to hook up more than 1 you'll need a distribution amplifier and that adds $50.

They work really well in Designer and Premier homes as getting them up in the air is the key. The higher the better. We're a long way from Orlando as far as over the air reception is concerned. 60+ miles
