i currently have a gas dryer, I am considering going to an electric one. Who do I get to "cap off" my gas dryer? I was told a special plumber is needed, does anyone know what I need to do to accomplish this? Thanks

I had to cap off my gas dryer in my old house. Look at the opening where your gas pipe connects to your dryer ( should be behind the dryer), then go to Lowes and purchase the cap that fits that opening.

you should have a shut off valve behind the dryer, shut off valve and disconnect the flex line up to the shut off valve and install a plug in shut off valve, thats it. now have a 220 volt electric line installed for new ele.dryer.
