Homestead exemptions

. . . perhaps I'm missing something in the whole Homestead Exemption area. I have not researched the various budgets of the Villages counties, or other areas in the state, but it seems with the increase in exemption amounts the taxable base would be decreased to a point where revenues need to be increased to maintain services or, services curtailed. Anyone done any work in this area?
