I will be moving to TV very soon and as a very good hair stylists I was wondering if I will be able to work out of my home. I have had a salon in my house for 30 years and can't imagine not being able to apply my craft at home.

Terra,
My neighbor goes to the individuals homes to cut and that's OK with The Villages. I think if there was alot of traffic at your home, that wouldn't be allowed . She also got her FL license which I understand required her to take more hours of training to obtain it.
Check with deed restriction when you get here to get the official word on this. I know signs are not allowed.
By the way, my friend has more clients than she knows what to do with. It's hard for her get enough time to play!

From what I understand, TV has rules against you having a customer-based business operating out of your home. They seem to be okay with you going to your clients, just not having your clients going to you. (Talk about splitting hairs!) However, I doubt it is much of an issue unless someone complains.

We have several neighbors, friends, or acquaintances who come to our house to carry on their various skills like travel agent, house cleaner, massure; so, it seems to be OK as Red wrote to have a business which goes to another Villagers' house.

I've heard the same, if that helps: You can go to the homes of clients to do your thing, but you cannot have a business set up in your Villages home for clients to come to you.
