Use WD40 (the odor dissipates in a few minutes) and "Viva" paper towels.

We were told when we purchased SS appliances to use Pledge. Between the grand kids finger prints and chocolate labs noses the Pledge has had a work out. It works wonders without any smearing.

Sprayway Stainless Cleaner. Sprayway also makes a glass cleaner that is great and doesn't leave a residue like Windex does. The Stainless cleaner has a darker blue cap and label. I spray lightly spray a clean cloth, not the appliance, because it goes a long way. The Glass cleaners has a lighter blue cap and label. I swear by both. Can buy in Publix.

Go to Walmart and get bar keepers friend. Those oily products just build up.

Finish with windex. Easy.

You would be well to first check the actual (type) of stainless steel finish is on the unit... not all cleaners are made for one! Many now is not most have a clear coat type finish that should not have any type of grit used!!

The spray Weiman Stainless Spray is great for the newer finishes.. many of the so call car finishes and others not for Stainless leave a film or light shadow that is almost impossible to remove.. many of the all in one cleaners have alcohol or ammonia which is not good for the cause either...

I also use Weiman stainless cleaner and polish. It takes all finger prints and other streaks off and the finish looks like brand new. You should also use a micro-fiber cloth to prevent scratches.
You can buy it at walmart for under $5.00

The only good product to use is called Shila Shine. You will not find it at HD or Lowes but most janitor supply stores have it or you can get it online. Almost all restaurants use this product. That is what I used when in the restaurant business and I still use it at home.

Sorry now way WD40 highly carcinogenic
I would not spray it on surface in my home stove fridge or sink
Lowes or Home depot stainless steel cleaner works great

On my stainless steel appliances left in Ohio, a nice clean soapy rag followed by a nice clean dry rag did the trick.

The new stainless steel appliances in my Villages kitchen are driving me NUTS.

The first thing to realize is that most of these kitchen appliances of any brand do not have "stainless steel" surfaces, but are brushed chrome plated cheaply. Stainless steel does not stain and it does not get fine lines of rust in the "grain" of the brushed pattern.

I'm seeing more black glass surface appliances in makeovers and new homes, and it looks nice. With any of the choices, a hot water wrung out microfiber cloth with white vinegar spray will make them sparkle better than new.

You can do as you please I'm just saying.
You touch the doors you touch the handles then you touch the food .
Spray it in the kitchen area to wipe off
='s Cross contamination
Send an e-mail food inspector and get their point of view

I tried Pledge, but eventually it built up and I was just pushing the stuff around on the ss. Now I use Weiman's and a mitt I bought at Home Depot (bright green on one side, blue on the other), and it's perfect.

On your refrigerator or other appliances? How in the world do you rinse it off?

An appliance repair person told us to use Baby Oil. Works great. A drop or two on a paper towel till you need to re apply on the paper towel, and cheap too :)

Gracie,

Many years ago when we had our cleaning service I received an email of twenty or more uses for WD 40. It worked great but a little expensive. I now use a product called Super Tech at Walmart. It is very inexpensive and works great, just like WD 40.

Over the years I searched and asked appliance stores how I could get rid of the scratches on cooktop, refrigerator and stove and was told there was nothing that could remove the scratches.......Good luck and if you find something please let us know.
