We see that there are three county's.Lake,Sumter, and Marion. Is there a advantage to living in one or the other?

None that I am aware of.
I believe the new homes are all in Sumter County, so you may think of that as an advantage - In Sumter you can buy a new home. I am not exactly sure where the county lines are, and I know the overall development straddles all three, so it could be that some of the new homes are NOT in Sumter.
In my opinion, the newer sections of TV have some planning improvements over the older sections (they are learning as they go along). For example, south of 466 there are more "multi-use" golf cart paths, they are wider and there are more tunnels to use under the larger intersecting streets. Makes getting around by cart a little safer and a little more fun. (Again, my opinion)
I would bet there are more "lessons learned" from prior experience being applied to the newer sections as well.

To expand on Steve's answer....all new homes are in Sumter. The other thing to consider is that when TV is all built out, the overwhelming majority of residents will be in Sumter county (just a guess, but, I'd say 80-90K of the 110K projected). That gives TV lots of clout with Sumter County government.

The Lake and Marion county portions of TV represent a very small percent of the population of those counties.

But, realistically, the county location should not be a prime factor in your decision process. All 3 counties have nice tV neighborhoods.

It's my understanding that property taxes are lower in Sumter County than in the other two counties that parts of TV are located in. Can someone confirm this for sure?

The portion of TV in Lake County is in the City of Lady Lake. It has the largest population of any subdivision in the City of Lady Lake and is the only area of TV that has services from both a city and county.

PS: Don't tell anyone!
