I have just found out that our wonderful TOTV member, Barb1191, aka Barbara McLalan Church passed away last year. The ovarian cancer that she was fighting a brave battle against, finally took its toll.

For those of you who knew her, she was a wonderful, smart, fun-loving lady who I enjoyed having as a good friend. Her husband Bill (Wm Gamble) also passed away 3 months later.

I was wondering why I hadn't heard from either of them for awhile and I reached out to their family members on facebook and had this confirmed today.

This news has really hurt me as there wasn't a sweeter couple anywhere.

We will miss you guys. RIP.

Sorry to hear that.

One of my favorite Doggie Doo Run Run people, Bob Buckland, passed on Friday, October 3, 2014. It has been a sad weekend at DDRR.

Hope these people are making others happy now.

This is a photo of one of the earliest TOTV meet and greets held at Starbucks where Barb & Bill were there. I believe this was in '08.

I didn't know any of these people, but I'd like to send my condolences to all of the TOTV members that were friends of theirs.

Yes, and WiWi (Islandgal) too. Times do change.

I recognize a lot of those people in the picture. I had gone to some of these 07 and 08 meetings but at Crispers and Donna lived up the street from me. Barefoot and Fireboy are Doggie Doo Run Run regulars when here in the Winter months.

I started going to Doggie Doo Run Run with Sport in January of 2007 and joined TOTV in July of 2007.

This is probably a stupid question but what does TOTV stand for? I assume it's a group.
Thanks

Nanna, no question is stupid. We were all there at one time.

Talk of the Villages = TOTV

Its the abbreviation for the forum.

I am so sad for all of these losses, Kathie and Tal. Could someone I.d. The people in the pic, left to right; front to back? I recognize Bare and maybe Charlene/phanaticlvr.

Tal, what kind of dog did Bob Buckland have? I may be able to put dogs and owners together In my mind

Bob Buckland had two smaller dogs--Molly and Maggie. Miniature schnauzers, I believe. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/miniatureschnauzer.htm

He was often in the Villages Daily Sun for his art work and was a very active Course in Miracles coach.

His Obit is on the other web-site that covers the Villages which is not supposed to be linked. He passed on October 3, 2014 here in the Villages.

Oh Kathie, thanks for letting us know that Barb and Bill have passed to the other side.
They were a sweet couple, married later in life, and very much in love.

The group picture really brought back bittersweet memories.
I think it was the second TOTV meeting ever when the membership was at around 2,000.
I miss Donna and Island Gal and Muncle, and now Barb and Bob have joined them.
And Talk Show Host (an original owner and his wife) have moved to Plant City.
Not many of the old gang in that picture still posting, except for Kathie, Redwitch and Barefoot.

Things sure do change, and a long life isn't promised to any of us.

Sure, be happy to:

At the table is Talk Hosts wife (can't remember her name) and Redwitch (who's birthday it was).

In the 2nd row, from left to right: Barb1191 (RIP), Me (KathieI), Momto5, Redwitch's daughter Jess, Wiwi (Islandgal) RIP, Donna (RIP), Barefoot and Nonie.

In the 3rd row, left to right: Bill (Barb1191's hubs) RIP, Talk Host and Donna's gorgeous husband John.

We changed this users status to Eternal Member.

Thank you very much for this respect. It seems fitting. We all became friends with Barb through TOTV.
