Does anyone know why On Demand is no long available on Comcast/Infinity. That perk ceased the week all new programs came out on my subscription and yet I have the premium package.
I get a different story each of the four times I have called and complained.

Coold you provide contact info please. I wold like to communicate our displeasure. We have been on the phone several times with Comcast. They had us disconnecting cable box, waiting an hour to see if it came back etc. Finally last night one guy told s it's a server problem nation wide. They don't know anything more. What!

Thanks Hoopsterdad. I asked to speak with someone who can tell me what is going on just now and was conveniently disconnected by Comcast. I intend to call Direct TV tomorrow to see about switching. Even a dummy can figure out that Comcast has not paid their renewal fee to the networks that provide on demand features. Duh!!!

Just checked my Comcast/Xfinity On Demand and it is working fine - for both regular TV shows and for our HBO subscription - so I would guess that the problem is it not because Comcast failed to pay the network renewal fee.

When I read your post I was hopeful. Checked On Demand. Not there. How many out there are having this problem?

Xfinity OnDemand is working fine here in The Village of St James on the X1 platform.
Comcast is a 139 billion dollar company that ownes many networks including NBC. To imply that they "didn't pay" is more than a little ridiculous.

No more ridiculous than Comcast saying it is nationwide.

Now to be fair did "Comcast" issue that statement? Or did it come from some random customer service representative that obviously doesn't have a clue.

They are employees of Comcast and as such should have a clue and if they don't they shouldn't put a broad statement out there. I pay a good amount of money to a company that outsources most of their cust serv jobs and I expect more from Comcast.

I live in St James. The most recent episodes of CBS series such as The Good Wife have not been available on demand all week. I normally, record several shows on Sunday evenings but, sports events have caused everything to be delayed.

I hear ya. With the game delay it missed half of Madam Secretary and Family Guy. Been checking daily to see when they will be added. I thought it might have been intentionally delayed for whatever reason. Looking forward to S1E2 of Madam Secretary.

On Sundays I always record the show I want and the show after it. That way if football runs over you don't miss anything.

The pencil pushers at Comcast were the ones I talked with....even though each time I asked to speak with their supervisors or someone higher up that could tell me what is going on.

Just tried the on demand and it is not working. I'm wondering if those for whom it is working have the new X1 platform. I do not. This is a week now that no new shows have been there.

We have the X1 platform and our on demand is not working. I called at the beginning of the week to complain about it and on Saturday they were to send out a tech. Right before he was to arrive he called us to say that there was nothing that he could do from our house as his previous call had the same issue. The problem according to his mgr was from Pittsburg into Leesburg, and that the on demand was not downloading onto the servers in Leesburg. He said it should be fixed within 24 hrs, but here we are and the problem has not been resolved yet. I normally record most of my shows however some nights there are more than 4, so I have to rely on demand.
Hope this is fixed soon.

If you go into the Scheduled Record of the last program, you can add minutes to the show. For example, I record Madame Secretary and the Good Wife. After seeing when 60 Minutes comes on, I go into my Scheduled Recording of the Good wife and go down to Modify Settings for this Recording Only and add the amount of time that 60 minutes made me go over. Then when I watch Madame Secretary and Good Wife I know how far into Madame Secretary I have to fast forward to get to the beginning of the show and I know that it will go into Good Wife and how long Good Wife will go. It is a real PITA but I have been doing this for a couple of years and I am used to it.

For me it's easier to hit the record button for the show following. If it doesn't run over, you delete it.

I never bothered before because OnDemand was so reliable that I didn't need to. Seems tonight there is no game delay but I can't/won't watch E3 until I've had a chance to watch E2. Come on Comcast, deliver already...

We generally watch approximately 10 weekly TV shows via On-Demand. For about three weeks we note there has been NO updated content for specific shows. Some shows do not have even the first episode available (Bones). Some shows have only the first episode and the second through forth do not appear. I have logged four calls to Comcast/Xfinity. I have been simply misled each time. My system was reset several times. I was told that a problem exists and would be fixed in a day. That was a week ago. I was promised a refund then later told 'no way'. Now a tech must come to the house. As for customer service - forget it! I participate in the call back C/S survey but still get no response. But, WOW, do we get the mailings to add or upgrade service! Comcast/XFinity is really helping the Postal Service. Oh well, I think another Cable / Internet service is in my near future.

We have Comcast/Xfinity and there has been no On Demand at least for 2 weeks. Missing all the premieres/2nd episodes of Grey's Anatomy, The Good Wife and Scandal.
Called them last week, "We're working on it." Called Saturday and was told it was a nationwide problem and they are working on it. I said I wanted a refund for my On Demand coverage, told no $ amount assigned to On Demand because it's free. I told them it's part of my package and the package is not free and that maybe I should look into Prism. Asked to speak to someone who had the authority to refund and was transferred to billing. I got $15 a month back for 6 months. Hope it doesn't mean it will take 6 months to fix. Demand a reduction in your bill. Only thing they understand is money or the threat to change to another company.

I talked with them today and was told Comcast is in negotiations with all the networks for putting past episodes On Demand. They said hopefully it will be accomplished soon and that all back episodes will be on.
Probably a bunch of lies, but who knows?

Comcast, not X1, and on demand seems to be normal. Last nights Good Wife is already available. Strange that we see different things from the same provider.

For those that say their On Demand is working............check to see if all the episodes are there. Many of the shows have the latest episode but are missing some of the previous episodes or have a few of the previous ones but not the latest. Not fun having to try and watch all these missed programs on the computer. Frustrating to say the least...........we definitely need more competition with cable.
